2025 ASSOCIATION OF HAWAIIAN CIVIC CLUB CONVENTION
66th Annual Convention
October 26 – November 2, 2025
Keauhou, Kona, Hawaiʻi
“E Mau Ke Ea”
(The Sovereignty Continues)
Provided by Moku o Keawe, Hawaiʻi Council of the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs.
Inspired by the words of Kamehameha III, Kauikeaouli, E Mau Ke Ea… reminds us our
sovereignty and our agency continues. On July 31, 1843, Kauikeaouli proclaimed “Ua mau ke ea o ka ʻāina i ka pono (The sovereignty of our land perpetuated in righteousness), with the “restoration” of power to the Hawaiian government following the Paulet affair. Since that auspicious day, kanaka have been challenged on multiple occasions, and yet, the agency of our lāhui continues.
