Ho’omana’o

Lorna Marlene Kaiuwailani Akima “Aunty Lorna”, 83, of Kamuela, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 at home.

Aunty was laid to rest on January 10, 2026 in Kamuela, Hawai`i.

She was born in Wailuku, Maui. A retired administrative officer for the Department of Interior, Pu’ukohola Heiau National Historic Site and was a class of 1959 graduate of St. Anthony High School, Maui.

She was also life member of the Waimea Hawaiian Civic Club; member of ‘Ahahui Ka’ahumanu Chapter II, Waimea; and a member of Tenesī Hawaiian Civic Club.
